Seeing the sunrise at Horseshoe Bend, paddle boarding on Lake Powell, horse back riding up and down Bryce Canyon, glamping under the stars, and hiking Angel's Landing in Zion National Park were just a few of the extraordinary experiences that made our road trip from Vegas to the Grand Canyon and beyond so memorable.

DAY 1: GRAND CANYON (SOUTH RIM) // ARIZONA
· Land in Las Vegas:We landed around noon because we knew we wanted to drive and see the Grand Canyon. (the earlier you get there the better)
· Pick up Car:We rented a Grand Cherokee and loved it.
· Drive to Grand Canyon (South Rim): 4h 15min drive from the airport
· Visit numerous Viewpoints
· Sunset at one of the viewpoints on the way out
· Drive to Page, AZ (2h 30min)
· Check-in Wingate by Wyndham Page, AZ
671 Scenic View Rd, Page, AZ 86040
GETTING INTO THE NATIONAL PARK
The entrance fee to Grand Canyon National Park is $35 per private vehicle. We decided to purchase the yearly pass ($80) since we knew we were going to many different parks (best option, you save $)
INSIDE THE PARK
Because we didn’t have a lot of time, we decided to go West and park close to Hermit Road and ride the shuttle to see various viewpoints. Hermit Road (Red Route) has the greatest concentration of breathtaking viewpoints in the park. Because it is closed to private vehicles March through November, it is also one of the most pleasant places to do a little canyon viewing or easy hiking during the busiest times of year: no traffic jams, no parking problems, and plenty of free shuttle buses operating along the route. I highly recommend walking the trails once you get off of your first point.
Tip #1: Don’t stop at the very first point at the Visitor Center because it’s where everyone tends to stop! I recommend going west and parking as close to Hermit Road as you can and then take the Red Route and then walk the trails once you get off of your first point on the Red Route.
Favorite Points on Hermit Road (Red Route):
· Maricopa Point: A little more intimate viewpoint than some of the others. You are able to see some close-up details before the view opens up to a vista of the canyon.
· Powell Point: You should get off at this stop to see it and then walk to Hopi Point (0.3 miles, 10-min walk).
· Hopi Point: 360 View!
· Mohave Point: This is where you can see the Colorado River at the bottom of a canyon! Walk from Hopi to here.

WHERE TO STAY
We got to our hotel, Wingate by Wyndham Page, AZ around midnight and most restaurants were closed so we had Taco Bell, showered, and passed out. This is a brand new hotel and was one of the most affordable Inns I found that was still very nice.

DAY 5: ZION NATIONAL PARK

· 9am Horse Back rising by the lodge
· 11am Hike “Scout’s Lookout Trail w/ Angel’s Landing” (For Angel’s Landing you’re supposed to get permit 2 months before, if you plan it 2 weeks before like I did you can always apply a day before you plan to do the hike for the lottery at https://www.recreation.gov/. We did not win the lottery, however, we hiked The Overlook Trail and when we got there, noone was checking the permit, and Danny was able to hike Angel’s Landing. I’m very afraid of heights, I tried hiking it and at one point I had to come down, very scary!!!

5pm Drive to Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park.

· We did the Sunset Tour which we booked in advance 2 weeks before, space is very limited.
We booked from Coral Pink ATV Tours and had an amazing experience.
